I know I have mentioned just how much Alex Lifeson's guitar playing has inspired me and shaped my life. Another pair of pillars have always been Glenn Tipton and his long time mate KK Downing too. Two bad mofo METAL GODS.

Ray, man thatsa lotta singing and lyrics for jazz.

I almost would like to hear that song without the singer. Not that she sucks or anything, I just think all the variety within the instruments gets lost in listening to her sing. I'd love to just hear the players jam on that song.

RVA got me in a Jazz mood today. Check out one of the funniest things I have ever heard as one you tuber commented on Thelonius Monk's music on this one clip. HAHAHAHA



my aunt used to dance naked to Monk's music which is why I avoided it for many years but now the memory's of her are fading I can finally appreciate his genius.

Yeah, he’s been in the news a bit. Not my style of music, but as a lyricist... I find a few things I’ve heard come out of his mouth to be more intriguing than his dental work ;) . There was one in particular that was a bit too politically charged(IMO) to discuss here, but it was a very concise line that successfully points out the viability of a longstanding philosophical argument. It was clean and clear in its conviction. I don’t know if I completely agree with it, but I can not see a viable way around it. He seems to be a thoughtful wordsmith....reminds me of Zappa.

Not my favorite style of music however I did catch a few of the lyrics while driving. I YouTubed it when I got in front of a computer and was also intrigued with what he had to say.
Reminiscent of Zappa and George Carlin a bit too.
