I have seen that katana at the shop, next time I'm in there I will give it a try and report back with my findings. I am very impressed with the Blackstar Fly 3. This year might invest in the other add on and have the stack like WavMixer has. As good as it is now I can only imagine what it will be like with the stack.(y)

They had those little Katana's sitting right next to the Fly 3's in the shop, but it was a lot more expensive and quite a bit bigger so I didn't even plug into it. I really wanted something as small as possible, and c'mon, it was only $59.

Weird you have not seen them they have been popular since the 80s

The first editions *84 or 85) are quite rare and collectable now

No I haven't seen that model around here. Not saying that it doesn't exist. But I have been out of touch when it comes to motorcycles for a while now, still hold my licence though. Have you checked out the new Triumps?

It was very smooth and dead reliable--- comfortable--- but sorta like a honda accord......nothing WRONG with it---- but nothing EXCITING about it either.
Boy I sold it too (husband and father now in the Army) still has it --his only bike ever and he treats it like a baby --- glad it went to a good home

Not sure if you read the whole comment gball.

I think what I was trying to say, but failed, is that I should have tried the Katana. Just to know, y'know?
I have a Katana 50, and for a modeling amp it's pretty cool, but even at low volume my Mesa/Boogies destroy it, so I actually lent it to a friend indefinitely.

I believe you are right not based on the ID Core series. The ID Core series amps I didn't like any of them. The sounds that come out of the Blackstar 3 IMHO is better than the sounds that come from ID core series.

Who can argue with that?
