As most of you have noticed I haven't been on here much lately, the reason.... I have been diagnosed with stage 4 lung and liver cancer. My doctor has said it's inoperable, I'm starting chemo October 4th, I've been told if the chemo works it could extend my life one to two years, maybe more God willing. If the chemo fails, or I decide not to go that route I'm looking at 8 to 12 weeks. Not looking for a pity party, just stating facts, it is what it is and I'm not driving the car anymore. Keep me in your thought's and prayers. God bless you all.

John, I've not said anything here as I figured that you would eventually, when you were ready to do so. I have no idea where to start my brother. I just learned about Robert's passing today. I'm helping to arrange a memorial for my wife's brother. A few days ago you let me know what's going on with you and I see so much changing so fast. There is so much about your life that I do not know, but the parts that you have shared with us reflect a vary talented, accomplished musician. An honest trustworthy person willing to dedicate your time to help others. You were a valuable asset to the original ETSG and it was our gain to have you join us here at TTR.

So far, I have lost my daughter, my mother, my brother, 2 brothers in law, 3 of my closest long time childhood friends and 4th long term friend was telling me today that he will not be visiting me this week as planned due to a nasty cancer growing out of his forehead. F U C K cancer!!!

John, I believe that we were created, not just some random chemicals floating in space that magically created the life forms that we are today. If we were indeed created, I believe that our creator has something better planned for us than only what we experience here on Earth. We all are going to leave this Earth some time, we just don't all know when. If you can look back on your achievements and be proud of what you have done, you have lived a good life. I hope and pray that you will be with us for a long time to come, but when the time does come, you will most certainly be added to the Fallin Stars. Thank you sir for all you have done!

John, from the bottom of my heart, i wish you nothing but the best i can offer. I sincerely hope your treatment goes above and beyond and let's you beat any odds against you. I hope you come back here in a few weeks or months ( take care of #1 first and foremost!) to tell us you kicked this awful, despicable $hit right square in the balls ( sorry for the colorful language, it is who I am after all). But I'd rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

I can't sit and tell you the direction to go, but if you do go through with the treatment; i know its rough on any person ,but you got this my friend.

Take care sir

Thanks Grant, the output of love I've received from family and friends including all of you here on TTR have been mind boggling and appreciated. I've had a good life, done some amazing things and I have a wonderful support group, so no matter how this journey unfolds I can honestly say I have no regrets and I'm proud of my accomplishments. I have a wonderful family, 2 beautiful and talented daughters and a 14 year old granddaughter and a partner of eight years who has had my back from day one., she is definitely a keeper.

I want you thank you Grant and the rest of all the members of TTR for allowing me to be a part of this unique forum, thank you all from the bottom of my heart and God bless you all.
