This TDY Will NOT End!

I'm on day ten away from home. First I was in White River Junction, Vermont. Then I jumped on a flight to Milwaukee for meetings at the office. Flew home Saturday to be home long enough to do laundry, then jump on an early morning flight Sunday to Dallas only to sit on the runway three hours due to thunderstorms (no available gates because of diversions). Now I'm in Wichita Falls, TX and the office is talking about me being in Phoenix on Monday. If I get out of here Friday, it will be a late flight from DFW.

I guess I'm not the only one on the road! It's all these trips up this torturous mountain road that's killing me...

Next week, I'll have enough nights in 2019 to be Diamond with Hilton for 2020. They will put any additional nights I spend at one of their properties this year towards my 2021 standing. If I get Diamond for 2021, I'm Diamond for life. I told my wife, as soon as I get that rating, I'm done with field service work. No more. I'm hoping to get out next year sometime. I want my life back.

What is TDY?
I hated being on call but it was only during the overnight / off hours from home.
Real drag working the regular day shift then having to get up at night to field phone calls and / or go out on service calls.
