I have no issues trying out new tech either. Now, if they functioned similar to tubes who cares if it is glass with a heater or what? But it did sound buzzier to me amd I'm a high gain guy.
Also, as others have stated, pre amp tubes can last a really long time so I fail to see the advantage.
Power tubes, well, they need to work on that.

If you do sample your rig and play the sample against the rig and see the truth! Listen for, I don't know, slew rate? Phase angle due to the A/D and D/A conversion? Would be nice if we were able to rent one for a month or two!

I've played through Dumble Overdrive Specials and something called a steel string slinger (???) and it was the most anti-climatic experience of my life. Nothing to write home about.

I call BS I'm sure they are fakes. It took me 2 years to dial a real Dumble into the tone zone using finger vibrato to kill the sustain no two are the same
The Steel String Singer is a rare amp only 9 ever made 4 100 watt and 5 150 watt. If so please give serial numbers and photo's
