Both Bachman and Farner were great. Pitifully ignored guitarists that were better than probably half the guys who got the attention over them. My dad is a big GFR fan, so i grew up with them. Closer to home was one of the first songs i learned actually

Yeah the videos for the 1987 album had Campbell and Vandenberg in them, but they were miming John Sykes' guitars lol people were giving them all the credit but he had recorded the tracks

To be honest,,,, I was trying to cop a Robin Trower tone, but by the time my buddy Tony filmed it, I had about 13 cool aides ha ha .
And I forgot to turn on the delay till the end lol

At the risk utter HERESY and gasps of shock and disgust, I'm gonna say it: Jake E Lee was and still is my favorite guitarist from Ozzy Osbourne's solo era. Yes, i know who im placing him above too lol

Randy was a virtuoso and an instant legend, Zakk is the longest enduring guitarist with pinch harmonics from God, and then Brad Gillis and Joe Holmes were great too in their short stints ( never was a Gus G fan). But Jake had something about him that I clicked with. The Ultimate Sin tour home video I owned on VHS as a kid got worn out so bad the tape dissipated lol
