Almost a year ago we adopted a new family member, Louie.
Louie is old & totally blind.
He came from the local Humane Society where my wife volunteers. He was transferred in from another local shelter.
It's a shame this old boy ended up in a shelter, because he's the best dog we've ever had.
We don't know the backstory on him, but he projects a dude like charm and coolness.
His blindness doesn't seem to hold him back. He learned the layout of the house right away.
He took a 2000 mile round trip car ride with us to visit my aunt in northern Ky.
He seemed to love the farm.
He's as mellow as a dog could be. Loves people, loves other dogs.
We take both dogs to a local tavern on the weekends where they're always treated like celebrities'.

He's also very fond of grouper bites.
