This will greatly effect crops that are planted at different times of the year.Got the same thing going on in northern Illinois. Made it into the 70s today’s. Upper 20s by morning. When that happens in my part of the world… generally a storm accompanies the temperature change. Most of the northern 1/3 of Illinois in a tornado watch. Tornado warnings have been issued. Thunderstorm warnings have been issued. Supposed to be bumpy till about 10:00 pm central time.
Oh yeah. Early for sure. But a little over a week ago, southern WI got hit by a tornado south of Madison. First tornado ever recorded in February in WI. We had well above freezing 4 days ago. Minus 33C last night after blizzard Sun. Temp will be -30C tonight then above freezing Thurs then down to around zero F again Fri etc. -16 C.
