Thinking of selling my KM6 and buying an A2.6 or 7...

One of my buddies bought this guitar about 4 years ago and I met him at his house when he brought it home. He and I passed it back and forth, jamming out for a good hour and I fell so in love with it I begged him to sell it to me. But, he wasn't budging. I GAS'ed for one for the next year, trying to find a deal on one and then, he texted me out of the blue and asked if I wanted to buy it. I debated for about 8 hours as I didn't have any cash in my music fund at the time, then I decided to sell something to pay for it. And, I've had this ever since.

It's hard to tell in the picture, but it's a Transparent White where the wood grain is visible in person.

Anyway, since I got my Solar A2.6, I almost never reach for this Schecter anymore. And, when I do record stuff, I pan this left and the Solar right and after swapping back and forth between them in recording, the Solar just suits me better and the KM6 ends up back on the wall catching dust.

Yesterday, I saw a KM6 just like mine sell on Reverb for $750, which is about what it would cost me to buy a Solar A2.6 or A2.7.

But, I wanted the KM6 so bad for so long, I wonder if I sell it, will I regret it?

Anyone ever been here? How did it work out for you?
 
Sorry man. Wrong guy to offer up thoughts. Only thing I can think of that I wish I still had was my 1970 Dodge Charger. As for guitars. I’ve still got all 7 guitars - acoustics (2), bass(1) and electrics(4) - I’ve ever purchased since 1973.

My rule of thumb is, IF IN DOUBT DON"T DO IT!!
 
Wait it out. Sometimes different is good. You may get so used to the new guitar, that you will go back to the old guitar and wonder why you haven't been playing it. So many times I have grabbed a guitar that was in disfavor, and after playing it again, I could not imagine what I found lacking the last time I picked it up.

Plus, it is comfortable for you to play, which is not easy to come by.
 
I agree with Norm and Ray, dont rush a decision. But once you wait on it a bit, months maybe......

Sounds like you have the same tone / role you want in both of these, making 1 redundant.
If you are sure of that, and 1 collects dust, then sell it.

Both the strat and tele I have now replaced same/ similar guitars just because the ones I have now feel better to me.

I am down to one P90 guitar from 3 for the same reason. These were different style guitars, but the P90 role is filled best by the one remaining.
The 2 HB LP types I have are the same - but different. Both are PAF types, but one is a more modern and the other more true PAF.
Somewhat redundant, but I like them both enough to keep them.
For now anyway.

But, if you like them both and dont need the cash for something else, keep them.
 
Thanks guys. jtcnj's comment of "collects dust" made me remember how it does actually need to be dusted off when I play it, which was enough to tell me to sell it.

So it's now on Reverb & eBay.
