A win-win in my book...A couple benefits of taking the Bigsby off were that I shaved a little weight off the guitar and it made my controls far more accessible again. The Bigsby really obstructs the controls.

Noooooo!!!! What did that poor SG ever do to you to make you want to treat it like that? Seriously, step back from the Bigsby black hole and remember to love your guitars, not make heinous wiggle-bar slaves of them.
Well...the poor SG was given its Bigsby-ish hardware by none other than the Gibson Corporation in 1974!
So the damage was done forty-six years ago.
The SG came that way with the horseshoe-style, Gibson-stamped device. I’m just trying to give it a bit of an upgrade.
I will say, though...had my ‘74 not already come with a Bigsby-style object on it, I wouldn’t be adding one!
Then, again...I suppose I could think about making an adapter plate that would let me use a stop tail.
Then, I’d put the harmonica bridge back on...
Hmmm...
whats not aligned properly?
as the strings vibrate --- (assuming these are 9 gauge-- because if they are 10s this is all crap) they rotate when plucked so is the 3/32 "static" or plucked?
IS the magnetic frequency capable of compensating-- or even BENEFITING form the 3/32 offset ---in ESSENCE creating a unique "mojo" that no guitar that is is PRECISELY lined up can achieve????????---
If a tree falls in the forest at the speed of light will an owl stinker ?
you gonna need a TANKER truck of disinfectant-----It's a secret, adrian. If I told you, I would have to send Smitty down there to rub you out and disinfect all your gear from the junk rubbing, and then high tail it back here with all your Peaveys and EB Bass so we can split the loot.
That's why I said I am sending Smittyyou gonna need a TANKER truck of disinfectant-----
and one of them Chernobyl/Silkwood showers
Well, okay...but maybe this is a chance to remove the factory Bigsby and give the guitar some dignity? After all these years his guitar buddies can stop making fun of him for being a sissy?Well...the poor SG was given its Bigsby-ish hardware by none other than the Gibson Corporation in 1974!
