The TRUTH Why Modern Music Is Awful

Pop music? people listen to that?......there is the first mistake------

Millennials------ruing the world at a record pace....

thanks Grant now I am sad......but it does explain that Zoia pedal thing RVA posted last night

Fascinating. I never knew that this "Millenial Whoop" had a name. :)
Thanks for posting this, Wav. For every person at work that has called
me ignorant for disliking most music produced after 1990, I would hope
that they would take the time to watch this clip and learn a few things.

It really is. We can blame the chorus of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow"

"...modern music sucks..." Ah, so this is why I pretty much only listen to oldies and classic's. I've gotta admit. It's been a long time since I've heard a new/newer band I like. Good thing music is timeless, or at least I think it is. Kind of like a good movie. If it's good enough to go pay thru the nose to watch it in a movie theater it's good enough to for it to come out on RedBox or TV ;)

Oh no, not this trope again. Jesus, why does everyone need to try to compare things in a one-is-better-than-the-other context? It's absurd, and all it does is reinforce what people already think - this video isn't changing the mind of anyone that considers The Beatles to be grandfather rock. Great music was made then, and great music is made now. I notice all he made reference to was the teen pop that is currently popular, not bothering to go very deep with music being made today, just to try to prove a narrow point. And a quick Google search shows that plenty of people are making the opposite argument:

Why Music Is Better Now Than Ever Before

Plus, there has always been terrible pop music. I was born the year that REVOLVER came out but can you guess what the most popular song that year was? Ballad of the Green Berets by Sgt. Barry Sadler.

Top 100 Hits of 1966/Top 100 Songs of 1966

There's a lot of other crap on that list which is no better than the pop being made today too. So I just say get over it, like what you like, but stop trying to "prove" we had it so much better and everything that came after sucks. Now get off my lawn.

I can think of only 1 use for Katie Perry-----

I can't imagine what you might be referring to...

I ran across this article and thought that I'd share it. I remember plenty of cheesy bubblegum music from when I was young. There was the whole doo wop thing from around the time I was born.
