I got rid of cell phones....that is a no NEED.... So I can watch TV and buy gear...
We grew up without so why now?

I don't own a personal cell phone. I am required to carry one for work and they provide it. It's an iPhone 8 or something.
I hate the thing and when I retire I will NOT be buying one or using one...I liked the old days when no one could bother

That's cool, but I just use my PC. I never chat on any forum from my phone. I know they have extra features, but the PHONE part is what I don't care for.
I like to disconnect from the world sometimes...

you may take my phone..24/7 locksmith business...but ..it allows me to run my business from anywhere.. only text & talk for work..always have 2 computers up & running in the house..must quickly find where the people are located when they call..crazy..google can take me to a spot where the customer is and i can ask them to look around..spying crap but good for work. When we move & sell the business..phone will be for family only basically & its a walkie talkie for the mrs to get me quick in case she falls
I have 2 iphones, 1 for work and 1 personal. I NEVER answer the work one, it is for work email only. When the company switched plans a few years ago I got a new number and the previous owner(s) were deadbeats (Lester and Robin). It's my mini soap opera. Within the first 30 minutes of activating the phone I was getting debt collector calls. 2 years later and I still get them, along with knowing their birthdays (guess they never told their family and friends they got a new number), pets names (vet sends "fluffy is due for her shots" texts), a druggie cousin, offers for high interest loans, state offers to help find housing, blah, blah, blah. I've long since turned of all alerts, sounds and vibrations.
Personal one I only answer if it's the wife. Everyone else goes to VM and I'll call when I'm ready. Text me and I might answer if I feel like it

over 70 phone calls yesterday & 150 texts...today, been on phone all day..i got the grass cut somehow between calls. every time turn the amp on..a call....when we go to the studio..i just watch my phone vibrate all day....crap..hold on ..elderly lady locked out...tech is dispatched...never ends....soon..i be in the swamp...no phone...
