Still have my first amp - a 1961 Silvertone - that I got from my parentd around 1974:

Still works, but man have amps come a long way from this....thankfully.

I did use it on a 2011 recording - along with a 1968 National Triolian Resophonic Resonator - and the sound is almost eerie....

Just keep your fire extinguisher handy if you use it Lol. Rob Marshall makes good amps for sure, I have for now turned over to Orange. Wonder who made that amp for Sears?


Sears amplifiers originally were made by Valco, but by the 1960’s Danelectro was contracted to build amplifiers and put the Silvertone emblem on the grill cloth... :-)
