The Project

I am going keep little tid bits here, morsels.lol
So my first track is definitely not done but it is a step closer. Today I got the a bunch more plugins working (winders related disapproval caused)

First try to get Plugin Alliance back up was a fail. It worked today, got installed and I am so happy for the little things .

The amplifier I used for the guitar was my DSL 40C , plugged it in to my make shift amp combo conversion ( Courtesy of Crate) I don’t now if they made a 1 x 12 closed back cab but they do now.

Mic’s SM57 45 on cone close.

The Bass is the Epiphone Embassy DI to my Cranbourne 500 series Pre -amp ( that thing is sweet)

2 vocal tracks panned opposite. Now that I have been through this process, vocals are by far and away the hardest thing to capture in a recording. I used my newest microphone the Rhode NT1-A

Philosophy.
I started thinking about the world, we have to be the most cynical in music.
I had a project when I went to Community College. It was a report, I chose a book about Rudolf Diesel and the invention of the Diesel engine. He created a mountain of technical Data on paper. The engine was introduced at the 1900 world fair in France.
Despite the fact that the first engine was 26% more fuel efficient than a steam engine.
The United States resisted buying the engine.
It took decades for it sell in the US market.

The other side of the coin was steam.
From “how stuff works”

“For the Newcomen engine, Thomas Newcomen, an English inventor, took inspiration from Savery’s separation of the boiler and steam cylinder, as well as Denis Papin’s steam-drivem piston. In doing so, he played a crucial role in advancing steam power. In the early 18th century.”

So the steam engine for locomotives was dominate . In mean time , Rudolf Diesel was going broke. He had a mansion and his family.
Sadly, even though he discovered the most significant internal combustion engine, he went broke.
He crossed the English Channel and was never seen again. Got to be a moral of the story?

I just finished this up, I will get the details up later and lyrics.
Its not great. I spent a lot of time with it.
I wrote about basically bmx as a kid but it was more free style

The lyrics, a bit of mess . I was writing it during recording.
Verse 1

Pedal!

Riding bikes at a devil’s pace

Sliding down the gravity well

Wind in our face

Down the hill, up to the top

Down the other side

Hope we can stop

Verse 2

Rock-cobbled roads, dust in our face

Got home with no light not even a trace

Shadows loom as the night fell

Heluva hill , everyday a trail

Pre-Chorus

Rhythm of the pedal climbing higher

Topped the hill with lungs on fire

On the grips, , heart race

Racing the River at a devil’s pace.

Chorus

Chasing hell, bit the dust

Another story to tell

Did it well

Verse

Drop in the gravity well

Oh no , I hit some rocks, I fell

Darkness up, I went down

Started to rain , put a smile on my face

Never felt no pain

Getting to the top, getting in the rhythm

Crash mountain in the way

Full pace, can’t stop

Chorus

Chasing hell

Bit the dust

Another story to tell

Out of the box

Never jumped a river

We jumped the rocks

Never let the World

Get in your way

If there’s a hill to climb

Today’s the day
