The one and only Lowell George and Little Feat

Never di like them and still don't. I have a friend who has followed them since the 70's. He is like a Deadhead only with Little Feat. He has seen them hundreds of times maybe more. He has travelled the entire US and many other countries to see them. When he goes to their shows, they always give a shout out to him at some time during the concert...

I personally don't get them or the Dead.

It's a wonder you ever got the Floyd then.

Great fortune for your friend, however.

Awesome, Dono,

Hey I will revisit my closest contact to one of my MAJOR guitar Heroes.
As many know, I totally love Michael Schenker, and to have quite by random chance met and purchased a Signed Epi V Bass from Mike and his band mates, the seller happens to be one of Schenker's roadies. If at all possible, I would be totally flabbergasted if I get to attend a Schenker concert and my seller/friend could somehow help me meet Michael. I would quite likely be speechless and yet find the words to tell Mike how respectfully appreciative of his playing that I am in my enjoyment of Guitar and R n R throughout my musical life.

Here is a Pic of Mike and Gregg

Funny, I never saw Feats as a jam band. I guess if you can say Feats is like The Dead, then I guess Skynyrd, Outlaws, and Blackfoot, etc are Jam bands too. But, Let me see, Guitars, Drums, Bass, Keys, Ecclectic sounds, pretty similar to me. Of course I am also the one who was most surprised when I heard you never really notice drums in bands. No big deal, just odd.

Many similarities tween Feats and Floyd. AND as we know, Not every band is every one's cup o tea. Just like a Flying V is not everyone's Cup or Tea, or a Tele.

Not really sure how Floyd compares to Little Feat. Little Feat is a Jam Band like The Dead.

"Easy To Slip" is probably my favorite song of theirs. Along with "Spanish Moon", "Mercenary Territory", "Tripe Face Boogie", "Willin'", and many more. As for a jam band, I never really considered them a jam band. Not in the context of the Dead, Allmans, or early to mid period Floyd. Their songs, arrangements, and writing style were much tighter then the Jam Band stereotype.

"As I light another cigarette, I try to remember to forget."

As I think about my statement about Floyd and Feats, it is songs like my favorites on Meddle that remind me of the harmonies, synergy of the individual players to make the whole, harmonies, song dynamic changes, pacing of songs for desired effects, etc.

Songs about animals, dixie chickens, dogs, pigs, sheep, etc.
