Talk about Bass grooves.
It's a wonder you ever got the Floyd then.Never di like them and still don't. I have a friend who has followed them since the 70's. He is like a Deadhead only with Little Feat. He has seen them hundreds of times maybe more. He has travelled the entire US and many other countries to see them. When he goes to their shows, they always give a shout out to him at some time during the concert...
I personally don't get them or the Dead.
Bet he really remembers this song and maybe this show.A good friend I’ve made since moving up here was their sound engineer for a while. I’ll ask him what years that was (70s/80s).

It's a wonder you ever got the Floyd then.
Great fortune for your friend, however.
Not really sure how Floyd compares to Little Feat. Little Feat is a Jam Band like The Dead.
"Easy To Slip" is probably my favorite song of theirs. Along with "Spanish Moon", "Mercenary Territory", "Tripe Face Boogie", "Willin'", and many more. As for a jam band, I never really considered them a jam band. Not in the context of the Dead, Allmans, or early to mid period Floyd. Their songs, arrangements, and writing style were much tighter then the Jam Band stereotype.
