THE Official TTR Friday Thread..........

I’m out of rum and pretending that everything is still going to be ok.

:rolf:
Oooooohhhhhh nooooooooo. Not the rum!!!!!! Call 911. Quick before it’s too late.

Edit: Meyers Dark has been our rum of choice for several years. Few years back we took ourselves to Hawaii for our 40th. Week on the Big Island. Week on Kauai. Turns out they make rum on Kauai. Koloa Rum Company. Did a taste testing like you can do at wineries. Found some pretty cool rums….. like coconut and coffee flavored rum. Best part. We can get them at Binnys here in the Chicago land area. I use a 50/50 mix of their dark and coconut to make a pretty decent mai tai and pina colada.

I was dreaming that it was Saturday & I was at the airport pulling my suitcase behind me. I was so excited for vacation. My alarm went off. I woke up & was SO mad because it was going off on a Saturday. I shut it off & went right back into my vacation dream. In my dream I remembered that I hadn't paid the guys yet. I jumped up out of bed an hour & a half later. It's not Saturday! My Friday is officially ruined! :BH:

Just discovered that I can run my RV's onboard clothes washer/dryer on way less power than I originally thought, so today is officially my do-laundry-at-home-for-a-change day! Can't run both the dryer's high-heat setting and A/C at the same time though, so I'm glad it's significantly less warm outside than it has been for the last week. This makes me happy as a pig in poop! No more bagging up my dirty britches to take them elsewhere for washing. I can just do it here while I drink beer!

Here's to clean undies!

Lol

We're in a good place to avoid the fire danger. I did see the red flag warning, and usually that means the air will fill with acrid smoke from a wildfire somewhere nearby in no time, but right where I'm at we're pretty safe. Honestly I am more worried about an electrical fire than a wildfire. Thanks for the heads-up!

I don't feel like most people realize just how hot and dry it gets in the desert here, they think "oh, WA, that's the PNW where it rains all the time".......so not so where I am lol

We get up to ~120°F in the summers, and well below 0°F in the winter, sometimes -20°F, and very little rainfall. Farms only work because of the Grand Coulee Dam and the irrigation project that started with the completion of the dam in 1942...otherwise, it's literally the desert....sand, rocks, brush, cactus, the whole 9 yards
