The Next EV Truck

Not that I am against EV in general but they just can't do what I need. If they were capable of pulling 5000 lbs and four people and luggage 1700 miles in two days, then maybe I would be interested.
I wouldn’t do 1700 miles in 2 days by myself and not dragging a load down the highway. Not anymore anyway. This tired ole body won’t let me.

I need to clear border patrol also. Lol
Last long drive we did was Sarasota FL back home to NE Illinois. About 1100 miles. We did it in three days and that was enough. We’d probably have done it in two, but we stopped overnight at a friends house just before we crossed out of KY back into Illinois.

I hear you. There isn't really other way to make the trek from the pond here to Ontario. I am already at 1 week of travel time if you include loading and preparation and unloading when returning.

I really wish I could retire closer to Ontario.

Time will tell.

Give it a little time. I am about the same there.
Honestly a dual motor hybrid might accomplish all of that, the companies don’t quite have the tech but it will come.

The whole point is I want to drive something I like to look at , not a shoe box mated to a Delorean

I am just like anyone raised on gas power and I have loved it . Worked on fuel vehicles and it supported us.
I had a long conversation and the bottom line is if it can do what a ICE does then yes .
