Of coarse, I'm just tripping out on that table... :hide:

I needed to feel my roots, so I grabbed Gene, my "family build" guitar tonight.

You're very fortunate to come from a family with musical interest. I recall you and your dad built that blue guitar and assume it's your dad playing in the last photo? My wife grew up with similar encouragement but alas not myself. If I live to about 150 I'll become accomplished ;-)

Thanks. My dad bailed on the accordion pretty early, but my mom always pushed us to take piano lessons or pursue the instrument that interested us.

THanks Ray -- it SOUNDS better than it LOOKS!
IT was actually a gift from my ex Boss -- the publisher at the Key West CItizen--
He started the build --- all mahogany -- excellent beastie-- but he lost interest as his flavor turned more "Fenderish" -- shipped and said -- if you can finish it you can have it--- its been with me ever since--- that is -- geesh 6 years now! Only one I have owned longer is the Silverburst EPi LEs Paul Custom -- going on SEVEN years with that one

HEll man I aint even kept a job-- a woman-- or a house that long! --- lol !!!

I have had a Glass elephant for 49 years--- it was a gift from a relative at my birth ---

DUNNO what twisted relation gifted my Mother a GLASS elephant for a new born--- I think it has to do with good luck or something-- I was gifted 2 a glass one and a stuffed one-- the stuffed one was almost destroyed several times (as kids will do ) my mother still has it --- I have gifted each of the grandsons with an Elephant stuffed toy at birth as well....hey-- the way I figure --Im still here---- so is the statue---

ROCK ON!

It's been rather abused ....and was a donation to the eSGEe ranch to begin with........thanks Drumoid. See still going!!!!! Lol I need to find a nice cheap wireless rig.....I mean I am literally 5ft from my gear ....but that is five very large fury mut feet aways from my gear and they get tangled ........and they yank amps off shelves...and plugs out of guitars......set up your rig in the wolf cage at the Bronx zoo.....then you get a feel for it ...

Problem solved. I have been using this for over a year. Works well for a very respectable range (50 feet tested and going strong). Replaceable batteries is a big plus. I did need to repair a wire once. $99
