I've done that mod on my '98 Fender American Std. Strat and I just love the extra sounds! When you just have the bridge and neck pick ups on you get that Tele sound but they are out-of-phase for that cool nasally tone. Having all 3 pick ups on at once is a very sparkling sound I find. I studied pictures of David Gilmour's black Strat to where he exactly put his switch and I figured it out. It doesn't interfere with the controls and is conveniently close to the 5-way selector switch so you can operate both switches with one hand easily.
