The Muse I Adorn

I'm adorning blocks of wood today. I need everyone's input. I'm thinking about building a carve top Soloist from Warmoth. Pretty much set on Birdseye maple for the top and Mahogany for the back. I used black grain filler on the Mahogany sample followed by red dye and clear nitrocellulose lacquer. I really like this color for the back. I stained the maple sample orange on one side, yellow on the next and natural on the third followed by the nitro. The orange is right out. The clear is nice and the yellow is very intense. Do you like either combination, or should I go with a different dye color or a paint top?
