Wow! I dig the fancy neck with the understated pine there. Very cool touch. BTW, pine is a great body wood. "Maple is a staple, but pine is fine", or something like that!!

Never had a body made of pine. I just can't get past the fact that it's not a traditional "tonewood". In fact where I grew up it was a traditional "firewood".

I stopped believing in tone wood for electric guitars a while ago, and thereby expanded my materials options

The prototype, and a very few early 1950 Esquires were were pine. That does not make it "traditional". No matter how badly Fenders marketing dept wants to convince you otherwise, so they can sell you guitars with cheap pine bodies for over a thousand dollars.

I have one pine telecaster that I really like a lot. Sounds like its supposed to. Only cost me $450 brand new. I tried out several guitars the day I bought it and it felt and sounded the best of the bunch. I only found out later that it's pine.

And in the end, this is all that really matters.

I get the screwed up sleep patterns. My dad till I was a teenager worked swing shift. Every two weeks he changed. I have no idea how he pulled that off. But ya gotta do what ya gotta do to support the family.

It plays and sounds fantastic.

I have done shift work my whole life. Changing from days, to swings, to mids every month. I can't keep a regular sleep schedule anymore.

The Rick 330 is sounding pretty sweet through my JTM45 tonight. We’re supposed to jam this week. I may have to bring this along with my ES-335, and have a battle of the semi hollow bodies.
