Since 67Plexi was so kind to have pm‘d me a link to Gregor Hilden playing a nicely beat up Les Paul Gold top through a Dumble today, I couldn’t wait to get home to listen to some more of Gregor‘s playing. Then I dragged my Les Paul out for some fun. I used my DST U84. Not a Dumble, but still starts with a D.

I needed a break from work, and I think Plexi sends me these links to motivate me. And, it works, even when I‘m exhausted.

3D artwork done with a laser. The back of the neck is cut to reduce friction too.

That's a funny looking Telecaster.

Today i'm gonna play this funny looking Telecaster.

Today I played the Stratostein. I made a quick pickguard for a humbucker to try out my rewind. I think it's going to stay like this. I will do some finish work on the guard and put a Duncan JB trembucker in there. I think this was the first time I enjoyed playing this guitar. Guess I'm not a single coil fan.

I just spent a nice evening of just goofing off. That’s the best way to practice. For a two watt setting, The DST was loud. And clean.

A heat gun and a putty knife made pretty quick work of that nasty seriously thick plastic. Oil finish is much nicer.

I think anyone would have done that had they known of the grain beneath. It was a shame to paint it in the first place

It was like playing a lottery scratch off being a MIM. Wasn't sure what I was going to find.
