The Muse I Adorn

I decided to go DEAN MACHINE ---
say what you will -- this Korean made lovely is heavy -- thick (look at taht no "veneer" thick maple cap)
the pcikups sound wonderful
the fit and finish are above board top notch equal to any PRS SE or similar level guitar
the carved top is DEEP and rich --
grover tuenrs
coil tap buckers
super low action great "V" neck shape -------

this is better than some of the Gibsons I own ...............I
LOVE my Les Paul Special P90
-- but fit and finish is SUPERIOR by a LOT on the Soltero -- Hell the maple cap is ALMOST as THICK as the MM SPecial!

2 very different "takes" on the old :Les Paul stand by

I'd hit it.

Gonna likely be the Gibson for a while.
We'll see after the honeymoon phase, but I'm really bonding with this.

There are some scratches and dents, and pressure indents that dont show.
Cosmetically this picture is much cleaner than the actual, but it is a solid player.

The sellers pics were very accurate; I'm very satisfied with the purchase.
I have since put the TRC cover back on after acclimation and adjustment.

Looks great.

Just like the SG faded (and various other names similar guitars came in over the years), you get most of the standards for a lot less money. Many folks find the finishes nicer to play, otherwise you're really only the binding away from a $2k+ LP standard.

Very nice guitar John!! Happy to see you are bonding with it! Wish you many happy years of playing!

I am still interested in getting another Tele type; one without or with manageable neck dive.
The Rondo SX tele I have for sale locally is a really good player, but the bad neck dive is out.
Light basswood body with a pretty deep C profile maple neck and fretboard.

Today I will start adorn my Custom (30W) then my JCM900 (50W). Then there will be three to choose from and little time to play. Lol.View attachment 57883
Nice! Sweet setup.
This is what I played today. And probably tomorrow too. :(:cautious:

I did, however, roll a bunch of tubes yesterday. Deciding which Mini to put the KT88s in.
