I know that you can do it with a minimal outlay in gear, and time learning.
You already excel in video capture....audio just requires a little different kit, and attention to different details.

using the PEAVEY BANDIT 112 (circa 1980's as well) -- I am presently in a time capsule back to my YOUTH in OHIO in the 80s.......oh did I mention the MANTIS came from my old "hood" --- yep straight from Akron OHIO-- -- stiull smells like steal mills tire plants and sweat---
reminds me of another 80s ohio commodity --------------
