The Muse I Adorn

perhaps a BRUNETTE Tele?

Ginger rocks the studio tonight. I think I need a Maryann

I dont think I can count the number of times I have had a similar thought.

Ray--- what exactly would a Maryann look like???????

I think the brunette Tele is the right call; I might have to go Jaguar or even Strat for the west coast 60's surf type deal though.

Well, you know this is unavoidable, right?.

Sha-ZAMM!!
That face is a cut and paste

Played the 89 Strat through the recently re-tubed Evil Twin last night. Dang was that a great combo, first time I’ve tried it. Really good sounds, I gotta work on my recording stuff so I can post some cuts. Played American Girl and Mrs Rita a couple of times in the center position, which I have NEVER used before. Sounded just great.

I spent much of the evening rubbing my junk on this battered old JAGMASTER by the lovely people at SQUIRE
jagmaster jazzuar.jpg
not sure if it IS A Jagmaster--- or a JAZZUAR--its a very nice hunk of wood--and I LOVE the neck its been PLAYED -- and is very worn in ultra low action and smooth as silk---LOVE the neck the camera never truly captures a good burst finish but this one is VERY good for a guitar at this price level---
Squier Jagmaster - Wikipedia
it is the CHinese ALDER body rendition-- not the Japanese made one--- (sadly) however not sure it matters the wood is good the neck is stellar--- and with some pup swapping and shileding/grounding -- it will be a lovely player

the Seymor duncan "designed" hummies are --- well thin and WAY TO HUMMIE this thing makes mroe noise than a Dog ear P90 LEster!!!

SO i have a couple options

SOme fake Jangle tron GRETSCHish pups from china---- or a set of Wilkinson bucker sized P90's .........

An thoughts from the collective on which route to go?????
FYI-- whatever DOESNT go in the Jagmaster ----WILL GO in the OScar Schmidt.......

I really dig the ebony fret board on your Strat. Fender should have had that option a long time ago.

;>)/

I am jamming on this sparkly beauty. It has:
SD Cool Rails - neck (SCR1N)
Bill Lawrence L280SN noisefree single - middle
Tom Anderson HF3+ - bridge

The neck and bridge split.

How do your SX strats compare to Fender in overall feel?
Do they play, sound and feel like a strat to you?
Besides the obvious cheap electronic parts, pickups and hardware, and the 12" or so SX radius.
Most guys on other forums regard them as good mod platforms that compare to MIM in overall quality after a few upgrades.
The plastic nut is real hit or miss, as is very common on the cheap PRC imports in general.

I have never held or played a Fender, just wondering what I am missing with my SX.
I like it overall, it doesnt feel cheap once you get past the thick poly body finish.
I do like the medium to chunky C neck profile too.
I did the bridge pickup tap to middle tone pot and like it a lot.

I think I need a go round with her; it has been a while.

As you know, I change just about everything (except the bridge) and give them a fret level. After that, they are pretty darn close, other than possibly weight issues. I imagine if you were an avid trem user, the bridge would also need to be changed.

Hey Adrian, I had one just like that one. '06 Squier Jagmaster with Duncan Designed HBs. I had push/pull coil split on mine. I played it for about a year, then sold it. Mine had a nice neck also. They have a strat trem and 24" scale. It is 3 different guitars mashed into one.
