It would not bother me. It seems your singles are already a slightly differnt shade. More importantly, when the color of the pickup starts to become more important than the sound of the pickup, it makes me think that I am getting astray of our true purpose, so I slap it in. Hey, EVH did not pay any attention to such things!!

The specs on TAG pickups are not much guidance. Tom Anderson mentioned that his pickup construction makes his ohms readings quite different than others and not much help, and I agree through my experiences.

I think a lot about aesthetics, along with my tonal pursuits. I didn't care for how the doubleneck looked with uncovered pickups at first, but the tone won out in the long run...

It's looks beautiful! I wonder what the two extra 3-way toggle switches do? I dig the DiMarzio in the middle with the mini-hums...classic Pete Townsend sound thru a HiWatt.:dood:

Yep, SD Pearly Gates, hence the name. This is the SE I’m going to put those Alumitones in sitting on the table. She’s also gonna get the gold bling to match the Alumitone mount. It’s got an ebony board, so I got ebony pup rings. Gonna use concentric pots, 250K tone with PIO .022s and 500K volume. Wiring will be like LP/SG, separate volume and tone for each pup and a 3 way switch. I only need 1 more part to have everything I need to start. Probably in 2 weeks.

Then the whole PG setup will get moved to another stock SE.
