Adrian that blue thing is actually the original Steve Morse signature model.
It is based on his original "Frankenstein" tele and makes a million sounds.
The Y2D model that I have is the result of him realizing that when playing live
Steve only used 5 of those sounds and never the slanted single coil. He went back
to EBMM and explained which 5 sounds he wanted and they came up with this.

Had to bring out the big gun to test the new speaker...
I was practicing a song for a set I'm gonna do with a few friends that required some 5th string powerchords also playing the open low-E, and there was such a huge wall of sustain coming from that open-E that it seemed like 2 fuzzes were plugged into the front end...
I've been searching the Marshall forum to find the best settings for the amp, and here we have it:
3w power setting, boost on to get the low end tight and involved, power amp and preamp at 3 O'clock (the SG has so much grunt that I turned them down to 2 O'clock and the SG volume to 7..., but with the LP special 3 O'clock gain & volume was perfect) - it was extremely loud. Even with the DOD working in the effects loop at the very lowest volume level that'd allow a sound out, it was too loud really. But, the wife was in a good mood, so I played for 30 minutes or so at those levels - we're talking 75db or so.
Two points:
1) I enjoyed that, and I'll be booking a rehearsal room at least one a month to take the Origin and blast iit out!
2) I need a power attenuator; there simply is no avoiding that truth. I can get nice sounds below 70db on the .3watt setting, but you don't get the full cream experience, and I'm no vegan!

I need to go pick up a couple longer cables so I can angle the 1x12 towards the center but not a biggy. The Ibanez is impressing me completely stock, need to order some better pots as the sweep isn't great on the stockers but the Pups sound great IMO.

That Ibanez is a gem. The fact that it is a hardtail makes me like it even more
