Thanks! It's pretty loud but not quite as loud as my smaller Epi acoustic. I guess the lack of a center sound hole makes a difference in unplugged volume.
Possibly more the top thickness. Acoustic tops are intended to vibrate, whereas electrics, not so much. More and more modern acoustics do not use a center hole.
 
How could it be anything else?

Learning how to record drums started with the DW Collectors 20" 12" 14" 16" spent two days tuning the drums and setting mic levels

The 20" bass drum sounds weak we used that kit for band practice saved my hearing. Switched to the live kit 24" 14" 16" 18"

getting real now the sound in my head is so close now using 6 microphones into a 16 channel Allen Heath QU-16 to a Zoom R20 16 track recorder

USB out of the Zoom to computer Cubase 11 Pro DAW with a Audix condenser mic over head the cymbals sound real.
