Here they are finally all together.
Got the Cherry Burst first in 2017, it was a new 2016 Classic.
The Goldtop followed shortly afterwards as I love a GT too!!
Then the Modern Axcess Bengal Burst CS. Has belly cut, fantastic high fret access and gorgeous finish!
Kind of wanted a more vintage, perhaps a mid 70s Alpine White but the 76 Wine Red appeared on Reverb in like new condition, a closet queen. It looks black here but is a dark wine red.
At some point I also thought a HIstoric 1960- Reissue would be cool and the darker burst and incredible grain on this one said "Buy me now!!"
Finally, as most know, I thought a more vintage guitar that LOOKED vintage thus the 1973 GT that looks 50 years old. Goldies tend to crack more in the finish etc.

I mentioned them in order of pic.
That one is the 1960 Reissue. I liked the bit o flame and not as cherry as the cherry. One of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.

Thinner body and the neck access really does it for me. Locking tuners, coil taps, 498T.

I did use the wine red twice but no pics!! Sheesh...

I used to not really like Gold Tops, but one of my buddies told me he skipped school in High School to get one like yours. Now I like em lots.

This thread is not helping my GAS! I have a 2020 60s Standard and I like it so much I want to replace all my other guitars with another Standard. Now it seems I'm looking for a deal on a 60s reissue...too bad I can't afford one.

What?!! That doesn't even compare, man. lol! Actually, I'm looking at all options. I'd really like to have a P90 Special, but I'm scared of the vintage 50s neck they have on them. I'm going to find something, but I'm not going to just jump on anything. I'm looking for "the one", I don't care if it's a tribute, a studio, a standard/traditional or whatever as long as it feels right and sounds right, and I don't have to take out a mortgage to buy it.

There may be some nice darker finish Standards that aren't historic reissues. The only ones I could get here that were NOT VOS finish were not reissues and I wanted a gloss finish. I had to get from Wildwood but you may have more choices.
