Is it going to be a triple dogear Patriot? How can you not now that I've tainted your mind with such an exquisitely splendored idea?
Well, that is a splendid idea, but I'm forced to harvest from my magic pickup box, and It's down to one soapbar P90.
But chock full of humbuckers.
Now this Patriot was already a triple pickup perversion.
Loaded with a trio of hot rail pickups with Duncan Triple Shot rings.
But the sounds were all too similar. No spice, no variety.
Several combinations of pickups came & went.
The control cavity area of the front was starting to look like Swiss cheese due to moving knobs around and mounting micro switches.
I had a plan. It involved a 21 tone Jimmy Page wiring harness that I had laying around.
I didn't want to refinish the guitar, but it was looking sad.
So I took inspiration from a 70's SG that I had.

Notice the front, where the knobs are.
No more Swiss cheese and extra holes.
Also the middle pickup is missing, but there is no hole.
No refinishing was involved, even though drastic measures were taken...

As you can see. I opened up the front of the cavity. This got rid of the mess.
It also made a fine monkey grip.

Then made plates for the front of the control cavity and to replace the pickup rings, covering the middle pickup route in the process.
So here's the wiring & functioning.
Yes, soldering was involved.
According to Jersey Shore Guitar Garage, the functions are as follows.
All volumes and tones remain the same as a standard LPBridge Vol Switch: Turns bridge pickup into a single coil Neck Vol Switch: Turns neck pickup into a single coil Bridge Tone Switch: Puts bridge pick up out of phase (effect heard only when both pickups on) Neck Tone Switch: Puts bridge and neck pickups in series (effect heard only when both pickups on)
Yet from these simple functions they claim...

Just got it all together & working a little while ago.
Tomorrow It gets some strings and a set up.
It's becoming a modular guitar.
