THE HORROR!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im Torn............................
the bassists of my "youth" that GOT me interested in Bass........ (sadly) mainly Gene Simmons, Cliff Williams -----also later learned every song with Carol Kaye ........so many "heroes" used a PICK !!!!!!!!!!!

but I cant seem to do it..........feels "wrong" ---I use two (sometimes 3) fingers.............slap da bass uses thumb and fingers........its just more NATURAL to me
Sometimes I’m more comfortable with a pick on the TL-Six....I think it’s the string spacing....it’s a bit narrower than my other basses. I CAN use my fingers on it, but I’m way more precise with a pick.

Fingers on the four-stringers though....

Guilty. I've never been able to get the hang of just playing with my fingers. I'm just used to the feel of pick from playing guitar and I think playing drums has something to do with it too. It might also be a playing position issue too since I have giant paws and long arms. The way I have to bend my wrist playing with my fingers isn't comfortable.

I do feel the shame since Geddy Lee played with his fingers and I ask myself WWGLD.

Tom Scholz is another guy that plays with his fingers on a hacked up EB-0 and I also ask myself WWTSD.

Finally,
Trump and I agree on something. At least 1 thing.
(I am pardoned)
