I will bring things back to the GUITAR realm----

I was fortunate enough to visit one Mr. Owegi Esq. today --- and while languishing around his fine abode I was able to sample a bit of the Green Slime (the guitar you pot heads!) ---and I can tell you ---- this guitar--- is the $hiznit! for the $$$ he paid...period. SOLID excellent axe.
action is perfect tone is great pups sound good neck is solid holds tune in the bendz .....and the finish FEELS similar to the SG 70's Tribute and other similar Gibbos.

It might be a dice throw to grab one--- but I can attest this particular one plays--feels and sounds as good as any Jr. I have played...and is ALMOST .....ALL-most as resonant in body as the Vintage Kalamazoo Killer--the ---Epi Spirit DC....very very close.....for a WAY less $.......new.........

NOW I say all that to point out the illustrious White Russian swilling Owegi is a master of "tweaking magic" to get "rough around the edges" guitars and amps dialed in....so
if you buy one it will almost be 100% guaranteed NOT TO COME IN in the condition this Slimey Green Machine is in..........but ---it COULD be ----- ;)

plus it sounds KILLER through a VINTAGE YAMAHA amp of massive tastiness that he recently acquired for a PHENOMENAL deal---and is being all "coy" about posting (its a better deal IMHO than the GUITAR!!!)

so --cat---bag--OUT --- you have just be OUTED in an international forum.......bazinga ;)

I did not get along with my M2 and sent it back...it barely hit 6lbs, tuners were not good and there was some stuff around the neck to body join that looked like white bathtub caulk.

I'm happy to see you got one that seems to pass QC better.

I actually CHECKED for the white bathroom caulk and Ic an say ---it was caulk free---- this makes me even MORE suspicious of the "G"

Well, as I say, I got a good Gibson M2 and mine is a keeper. But, with that said I sent the last two Gibson SG's back because they were lemons and sent the last two Epiphone Pros back because they were lemons. If a guitar is made correctly, it's made correctly and if it's not made correctly it's not. I've bought two cheapy SX Furrians from RondoMusic and both where great guitars. The pickups and electronics weren't stellar but they set up nicely, including the intonation, the frets where in the right spots so notes at the first fret and above/below the 12 fret where correct (not sharp/flat). And they both where around $125 to the door. I still think a well made American Gibson, Fender, etc provides about the best playing/sounding guitar on planet earth ;) Not, that there isn't other companies that can do the same. Just saying. You know, I might be tempted to trade The Green Slime for one of those cool green cars posted earlier - lol...

uhm.....its Friday.........uhm its Christmas Eve Eve..........I was told there would be a test

Christmas Eve ? Isn't Christmas Sunday ? Hey, I'm all for Christmas Eve Eve ;)
The earlier you can pull out the bathroom robe the better - lol...
I stilll have Amp-A.2 on the bench tweaking it. When I get down old farting around with that I'm going to put the Yamahaha G50-210 on the bench. It's working fine, but I want to give it a physical and look for cold solder joints, etc. Maybe I can get some stuff pics/info posted after that. It's one of the few solid state amps I've played and really like. And, for 40 bucks delivered to the door I'm not complaining either...

killing me a YAMAHA G50-210 --- thats TWO 10" speakers..........and all those effects----- from --- what year is it???? damn hting is older than Raiyn is I bet ------

KIlling me---- 40 friggin dollars!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Unheard of deal! Epic! EPIC I SAY!

Glad you got a good one. I was soooo tempted to bite on the off white / grey for mostly brand name snobbery.
I DO want to own a Gibson.
I have seen ones where both the bridge is sloppy loose on the posts and tilts forward, and the posts them selves are loose in the bushings and lean toward the neck.
YIKES, no thanks.
But for $239. I would have bit if I didnt have the Blakewright P90 on order.

Not to change the subject, but a lot of times what looks like caulk in the joint on a Gibson is just leftover polishing compound. It is hard to get out of those tight corners.

Easy to check, put a rag over a credit card, or just use some card stock and gently try rubbing it away.

I'll bet it comes right off. I had that on my Hummingbird, Les Paul and Firebird. Wiped right off revealing a tight joint.

I was thinking about putting a Schaller Les Paul Tremolo for wrap around bridges on The Green Sllime, but it's pretty expensive. I'm going to call Gibson next week to ask about the M2 specs to see if they are the same as other Gibson USA guitars. Ya, I could measure it, but calling Gibson is more fun and from the the horses mouth type thing...
