The Great Photobucket Nightmare of 2017 (or, How Photobucket Broke the Internet)

Does Imgur allow you to set your albums/images to private, so they aren't just seen and shared by everyone?

Yes you can make albums and images private.

...oh, I disagree that Photobucket will survive. They shot themselves in the foot and will be gone. That is my prediction based on the large amount of people I know who have deleted their accounts already...

Heavy users? My account storage is 14% since January 2006! I think Pissbucket know what they can do with their site.

I know...right?

My account was at only 1.54%

I was hardly a heavy user. Also, since I've been going through the effort of actually finding my posts with links to Photobucket, I've discovered I didn't have as many links as I suspected.

Although all members here are welcome to upload their pictures, and hot link them on other sites, please be advised that any website that Alex owns you will not be able to post your pictures. Thetonerooms.com actually just the words thetonerooms all in one sentence together have been blocked from all of his sights so it's not us you, it Alex

Wav, good message for those who didn't know this. I remember once in a private message, letting an ETSG member know about TTR and got censored.

I think I had to ask him for his email address to tell him about it.

That is actually funny. Nice job guys. :dood:

I don't have anything against Alex or any of his forums, but this forum is awesome. That is all that matters.

I do not have anything against Alex, hell he bought what used to be the best forum on the interweb and by far the best group of moderators that I have ever experienced. For some reason it's OK to mention other guitar forums that he does not own, just not this one. :hmmm:

Wav, I know. Heck, I am pretty sure had things not gone somewhat like red headed step children, we may never have become TTR.
Nothing against Alex or most members there, but it sure would have been nice to not lose our informational resources and basically got blown off when requesting that to be fixed.

My Pissbucket account is now deleted. Should anyone come across some posts with pics that are now absent let me know and I'll make arrangements to restore them via another host. :)

Java,

Fortunately, the admins have opened this forum up for editing, so you can go back and edit your posts. You're out of luck at other forums, unless those admins also open back up for editing.

Incidentally, this is how to find your old Photobucket links, though I'm not certain it will work if you've already deleted your account.
