Yes you can make albums and images private.
...oh, I disagree that Photobucket will survive. They shot themselves in the foot and will be gone. That is my prediction based on the large amount of people I know who have deleted their accounts already...

My account was at only 1.54%
I was hardly a heavy user. Also, since I've been going through the effort of actually finding my posts with links to Photobucket, I've discovered I didn't have as many links as I suspected.

I do not have anything against Alex, hell he bought what used to be the best forum on the interweb and by far the best group of moderators that I have ever experienced. For some reason it's OK to mention other guitar forums that he does not own, just not this one.

My Pissbucket account is now deleted. Should anyone come across some posts with pics that are now absent let me know and I'll make arrangements to restore them via another host.

Fortunately, the admins have opened this forum up for editing, so you can go back and edit your posts. You're out of luck at other forums, unless those admins also open back up for editing.
Incidentally, this is how to find your old Photobucket links, though I'm not certain it will work if you've already deleted your account.
