Just got these in the mail. They were cheap. $33.99 from The Stratosphere, but they are alnico V, with a RWRP middle pickup. Wound hot: they claim 6.4K on the neck and middle, and 7.2 on the bridge.

I'm gonna put them in the purple Strat (replacing the stock MIM ceramic pickups) and see how they sound.

Well, I got them in, and they work. They actually sound really good, and are much more dynamic than the stock ceramic pickups. They are just what you'd expect from a set of overwound, alnico 5 Strat pickups. Very much in the Texas Special neighborhood, and I really like the extra hot bridge pickup.

This may be the best $33.99 I ever spent.

I'm glad to hear they worked out. I'm not a fan of ceramic pickups, and it always seems that the Alnicos are always more dynamic. I guess the ceramics are better for high gain stuff, but if you want a Strat to have that Strat sound (even a bit hot), you need Alnico magnets in the pickup.

Happy New Pickup Day!

Yeah, they turned out to be really good pickups. This guitar sounded pretty good with the stock ceramic pickups, but now it sounds freakin' great.

yep an entire pickup SYSTEM designed to never have to solder your guitar again but allowing MANY pup change options --- all Guitarfetish of course........
Yeah, it's great as long as you only ever use GFS pickups. And since I rarely ever change pickups, I'm thinking the quick plug thing would not really be that practical for me. These new pickups are the first ones I have swapped out in the last 5 years.
