The Gibson ES-335: A Short History

Back around 2000-2001, I bought one of these off a guy on ebay. I would have likely still had it, if it didn';t have a pencil point sized ding in the front of the body when it arrived. Had that flaw been on the back, I likely would have kept it. But for the price I paid, I didn't want a flawed guitar, right where I could easily see it. Got a full refund including shipping. Closest I've come to this guitar was my friend's EPI Dot Deluxe that I reattached the decapitated head on.

Also, a 335 like this brown one was the first one I ever held in my hands and drooled over at a music shop down in or near DC.
It was not Vannemans or Chuck Levins, but is one that has been around like those 2. ( Revised, I think it was Victor Litz in Gaithersburg) Other than it being advertised on ebay, it was also a used trade in that the shop said would have to wait the 30 day police check that it was not stolen, before they could sell it.

Otherwise I might have walked out of the store with it that day.
