I'll play...

I only have one , very uncommon/probably a cheapo but I do like it.

It's an old no nothing guitar my dad got from a pawnshop back in the late 90s for about $200. Apparently, it was an offshoot of the Cort Guitar Company called Kansas. I literally don't know the model or anything else. But, it came with full top and back binding, a mahogany back/sides/neck with a figured maple top and a rosewood fretboard, so there was at least a decent construction to begin work with, but the components were cheap and terrible, where as the pickups were AWFUL ( weak sounding, lots of interference).

I got bored one winter and asked my dad, that if I would get some stuff to tweak it, would he let me? And he said "Sure, it's not worth it though".

So I ordered a set of Grover Mini Tuners, all Gibson gold hardware to replace everything such as the bridge, stop bar, mounting screws and the 3 way switch. I changed the pots out to Gibson 500k and the pickups I ended up ordering were a 57 Classic Plus in the neck and a Burstbucker 2 in the bridge. I came close to almost 3x the cost of the guitar to begin with in parts, when all was said and done, so needless to say: it wasnt modified for resale intent lol it's about like seeing a Dodge Neon with rims, effects and a spoiler worth more than the car itself.

But since then? It's became a really fun guitar and one of my favorites.

Here's what it's like now
Excellent Mike, good to see you!

I still think about that Washburn, @chilipeppermaniac !

I feel honored that you bought it from me a few years back. Somehow, we gotta get together with our HB-30s and jam for a couple hours.

Do you still have your Marshall? I could bring my Rivera.
Yup still have the Marshall. I'm very out of practice though. My days have been filled with trying to catch up on mechanical works to my truck, and clearing out dad's house, now I have to make like a tornado on Kathy's place to prep to become grandparents and baby proof things all while renovating.
