The Ergonomics Of A Les Paul Guitar...

Now Robert, mom's Les Paul looks giant on you compared to how the LP looks on Mr West.

By the way, I found your Tone in Leslie's fingers and amps.

Not to digress off topic, but I sure love how Leslie Looks back and locks in with the drummer during the opening song etc.

Yes, true. It's uniquely Angus, and it's friggen awesome!!

Good observation. It's a different tonal signature. I love it....and at times, I want to hear more of a Gary Moore/Rhoads punch. There really isn't a right or wrong answer I guess, and the answer is, after all, rooted in personal opinion...

Leslie sounds good here...

I like my Les Paul's just fine they all sound great. When our band play's out I use a Parker Fly Deluxe 1956 Fender Stratocaster 1962 Fender Esquire 2001 Gibson Custom Shop RO 1960 RI
1/1965 SG Standard. The cool thing I can play vintage Fenders out and people don't think they are original's. I don't play my original Gibson's out in public they can tell by the sound of them.
20 years ago Troy called bring your 1958 Gibson flying Vee and your 1968 1959 SL-100 Marshall to Jam night I killed every Guitarist that night.
1971 I saw ZZ Top Billy played a 1959 LPS and a Flying Vee 100 watt Marshall sounded killer no effects.

Yup, I was gonna say Billy G has no trouble getting around or getting sound out of his Pearly now does he?

Also I may kill Robert dead when I mention for him to also notice Leslie is rocking a P90 equipped LP Jr. Tone Tone Tone.

P90 has great tone! I am not a fan of the noise though....

I recently weighed all my Gibsons, and I was a bit surprised by the results, really. Here's what I found:

2011 Les Paul Traditional: 4.1 kg (9 lbs)
2005 SG Special Faded w/Vibrola added: 3.7 kg (8.2 lbs)
2014 Derek Trucks signature SG w/faux Vibrola Lyre cover: 3.3 kg (7.3 lbs)
2013 Future Tribute: 3.3 kg (7.3 lbs)
2009 Les Paul Junior: 3.3 kg (7.3 lbs)
1975 SG II: 2.7 kg (6 lbs)

All numbers are rounded. I was surprised that the Les Paul Junior wasn't actually heavier. I have always felt it weighed more than the Derek Trucks. I was also a bit surprised how much heavier the Special was than the other SGs.

Sorry for being a bit off topic.

1987 MIK Stratocaster Laminate Body - 10.5 Pounds

2016 Gibson SG T Series (Green Keys) - 4.8 pounds

Mom's 1979 Gibson les Paul Custom - 15 Pounds

2016 Gibson EDS-1275 (3-Piece Maple necks) -15 Pounds

2016 Von Herndon Doubleneck (all mahogany) - 12.2 pounds

How about a Flying V. That has some issues. Ever try to play one sitting down? I did.

Oh, that's where I stole, I mean got my avatar!

I have a black Jackson King V guitar that I found awkward at first to play but the key to holding a Flying V while sitting down is resting it between your legs.
