The ebony fretboard guitar picture thread...

My '91 Gibson SG Special came with a lovely ebony fret board. No recent pics of it yet but you can see in my avatar and signature. My other guitar is an 1989 Yamaha RGX Custom with a beautiful ebony FB with real crystal inlays and Jim Dunlop jumbo frets. I paid over $2,000 for the guitar not including the hard shell case brand new back then.

I have three guitars with ebony fret boards. Honestly I can't notice a difference when playing them but I do like the look of ebony fretboards.

1> Gibson SG 3 knob special (my number 1)
2> Larrivee L42 12 string
3> Yamaha LL16M

Thanks Session 5. Its an Indonesian made (Pro Soloist) model, but quite well made. Mahogany body, neck through & came stock with Duncan distortions. Shielded cavities are stock. Came with a good set up out of the box. The only thing I've done was to shim the bridge saddles (E, A, B, E) to better match the neck radius. Cheers
