its a HAWK --- a BLUES HAWK and its MINE BEOTCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
O.K. ---O.K. ---NOT officially--- it is on "test drive" from our very own Chasfed --- who made me a VERY nice offer........
HAve I MENTIONED ----how FOOGIN AWESOME this Forum (and its members) are????
So I am flying the Hawk --- testing her tones--- checking under her wings --- getting to cuddle up and fondle her first hand --- at home in "real world" situations with MY amps and MY suck-fest playing ......
She arrived yesterday---flew in and scared the dogs......but no biting or clawing---
So pics to prove it happened,
So first impressions ----its a different bird for sure --- a horse of a different color a beast of burden? not really ....
In fact its FEATHER light ---yet retains good sutain (in part to the string through construction---)
good sustain--- the pups are a unique flavor -- not SURE I love it--- or not --- need more time in the saddle to determine --Fender scale length ---Fenderish bridge/saddle deal-i-o
Semi hollow--but with none of say a 339 or DOT feel or tone to it acoustically or electrically---
VERY LITTLE info on the interwebs about them.....only made in this configuration for a few years........recently returning as an EPIPHONE model but with different ---well stuff........Pups etc.
The OTHER SEmi --in the herd -the Dean Sarasota has fat bucker/tron wanna be TV jones humbuckers in it.....and a more 339 vibe for sure.....I thought ---easy decision cant have 2 Semi Hollows.......but......they sound WAY different....
TO the construction--- its well made for certain -- but the light weight of it throws me.....it feels very much like one of these
WHich are very nice for the 250.00 new buy in!!!!!
Tonal similarities exist but not entirely-----
SO ----- its here......its not been attacked by the GRIND or any of the other miscreants......so its tentatively "accepted" --- will it stay ---- or will it go???????
What fate shall she reap? Chained in the Doom Room of Boom? Set Free to SOAR to anothers loving embrace?
Hidden under a pile of dirty laundry and claimed to have been shipped back to Chas????? (I would NEVER said the Ferengi-----now Chas just sweated a little
