The Dark/Zero the Hero - Black Sabbath

After Ozzy's death I was in a deep Sabbath rabbit hole and eventually made my way to this tune. It's of course not Ozzy but still one of the most underrated Sabbath songs and album (although half the album is still crap IMO). It's a shame they couldn't get this lineup going any further as Gillan's voice IMO works much better than Tony Martin's and the other guys that later fronted the band.

There’s really not much to the song as 90% of it apart from the solos is the same riff. For the solos I just winged some gibberish as I was too lazy to try to learn Iommi’s solos.

I liked Tony our band was playing at a private party he asked to see my guitar 1961 Les Paul SG very nice but it's not
left handed I didn't know they made left handed guitars I'm left handed Tony i have to go foe a sound check
I will put your name on the guest list and bring a guest I was escorted back stage Tony was very nice so was Bil Word
Ozzie on the other hand was a total low life to put it kindly

I have to admit id never heard that Sabbath song before but i liked it.
It was their first album after Dio left the band. It was widely panned by critics but there are a few standout songs on the album such as this one. A lot of the album was meh and Gillen left the band shortly after the album. While there are a handful of video/audio clips of them performing live, I don't think they did a proper tour with Gillen.

Great story! I'm guessing Ozzy was on one of his benders.

Very cool and well done, Señor Mouse. My fretting hand would have cramped up after only one minute of trying that rhythm pattern. I think it’s been about 40 years since I heard that song or anything else from Born Again. I still have the album on vinyl, and the cover still creeps me out… :ohno:

Thank you sir! Building the stamina was actually the hardest part of the song and took a few days until I could play it through fully without tiring. Especially for that poor rhythm guitarist on the left. :D

This is pretty much the only tune off the album I listen to fairly regularly. The intro to this (The Dark) is equally creepy but I just had to include it here for completeness.
