The coffee maker is on the fritz

Maybe a complete meltdown will warm up things too... o_O
I'm actually counting on it, but typically we don't see the meltdown for another few weeks at best.

Actually we got kinda lucky....usually by mid-Feb we've already been freezing for a couple long months, but up until a couple weeks ago we were quite comfortable....and then we got slammed with the cold...

I think I could probably do without winter altogether. I don't absolutely hate it, but I think I could probably forget about it and not miss it relatively easily.

That is not good !! Coffee soon as i wake up.. must.

remember the peculator.. grand ma making coffee is good memories. have boiled water before & still poured it over the filter in the basket for a cup..then went got new one
Yup, done it cowboy style on the stove in a pinch myself.

Grounds grinding around in my teeth is still better than not having muh dang coffee!!

if it powers up, and it sounds like the heat up and pumping cycles are functional:
The small passage ways in the Keurig are prone to clogging.

if you pull the k-cup holder straight up and out, you will see one metal port on the bottom, and if you look into the lid, another.
These two ports are what pierce the k-cup.

The cup holder also comes apart into 2 pieces and there is a port there as well.
These can be cleared with a toothpick or paper clip.

Your model may be a little different but the general design is likely the same.

Run a couple of cups of just water through regularly to keep things flowing.

Mine does this.

Yeah, I know that trick, I tried it. However this time it does nothing at all. just powers up and says "pre heating", and does nothing. No noises, nothing. I think it's just dead.

Anyway, we ordered a new one, and we have a french press until the new one gets here.

I've never used a french press before, but have always heard that it makes the best tasting coffe. I've gotta say, there is something to that, because the coffee is noticeably more flavorful.

Mine just lit up, and all the buttons were flashing simultaneously and would not respond at all. It eventually started working again, but yes, I was getting ready to do a major cleaning on it.

I don't actually use the k cup. I have a reusable cup that I can fill with Folger's or whatever I want to. It's nice because if I have an entire pot sitting there, I'll drink the entire pot....if I have to make a fresh cup every time, I'll usually top out at about 3 or 4 cups, but most days it's only one or two. I know my guts thank me for this. I think I used to spend half the day on the toilet lol
