We make all prospective members provide us with a National Police Certificate.
National Police Certificates
Anything bad on it means no membership. Period.
Now I know from previous posts, you consider bikers scum. That's your call. You can call me whatever you want. I am not really concerned.

The National Police Certificate is a new concept to me, thanks for clearing up my question.
Alex if I ever suggested "ALL BIKERS" are skum it would have been from MY PERSONAL definition of a biker, you and the club in question (as presented today) don't fit MY definition.
There is a great difference between ones visual presentation and what may be the reality of the person. You dress as you wish but the point I'm about to stop trying to make is most citizens can't tell the difference between a 1% or a bible based bike gang when patches etc are on display.
No personal attack intended and a genuine apology is offered.
 
HEY ----- wait----am I scum? I been a biker since age 10........some even didnt have MOTORS! I have tattoos, I are a redneck.....I carry a gun.....I have a foul mouth and a bad attitude.....I hate "the man" ..........oh dearie me I am scaring myself.......

I did a little running with the 1% group (on the very fringe) and had friends in the groups---- was not my "thing" to structured and militant ---If I want to take orders and work towards "rank" I will join the Army.

I have known many biker groups and many biker folks ---lots where my customers when I owned a T-shirt shop (everybody LOVES t-shirts) --- and I never had an issue. Yes there are some serious Outlaws involved and seriously BAD dealings and bad people. But I dare say most those folks if they are NOT wearing their "colors" you would STILL know they where "questionable" characters.

Gasket I dont know about Oz but here ---- there are SOOOOOOOO MANY "bikers" with patches.......some say "Riders For Jesus" or "Police Riders Assoc" or "Vietnam Vets"...."Grandmas for Guzzis" ......."Attorneys on Apehangers" .....at least in the U.S. I dont think everyone lumps them as a group----most dont give a second thought as the majority of the ones you see pulling up to the gas pump are "weekend warriors"


I guess no enlightenment there....to you both....................RIDE long and PROSPER --- and gasket-- you can ship me that Tiger anytime it would be so happy in the barn beside mine ;)

Good post! I have never felt the need to try to be a patched member and I do know some very old school riders,so sad 1 of my good riding buds just passed a couple months ago. He even looked like a questionable character but didn't bother nobody and owned his own home & a 66' Sportster. Hell I use to or may still do look like & maybe a questionable character :cautious: Honestly he rode my 06' Shadow more than it though. A lot of motorcycles here in the hills of PA/WV/Maryland/Ohio. Johnstown was the weekend before & Hazen last weekend and Mountainfest next month then Ocean City & Gettysburg. We will be at Mountainfest for sure to see Hank Williams Jr. & George Thorogood! Just today I put a new battery in and changed my oil and shined her all up. Me & the misses are going to Ohiopyle tomorrow :)

lol I just recently well last 10 years or so found out how it all started. Ohio cried they had no water access so that little sliver at the bottom of Michigan, the part that borders the Great Lakes was taken from Michigan and given to whinny ass Ohio :p
