A good mate is a Buell (almost Harley) fan.
Last time we went out together the idea was I ride the black one out, we change over and I ride the red one back.

M'a ladies .....t he Misses and the Mistress............but guess which is which
So where's the wife?

These taken mid 70's. I raced a lot of bikes but the best fun was always the small ones, 125's and 250's.
Two-strokers rule. I miss the smell of Castor. Nothing as spiritual as sitting at the grandstands by the start-finish line and listening to about 40 250cc 2-strokers reving up at the start of the race... goosebump city

I used to ride with a Military Motorcycle Club, but it got too political, and there was too many egos to contend with, so I left them to it and went my own way.
Fast forward about 18 months, and I've just become a full patch member of an international Motorcycle Riding Club, the Steel Crusaders RC.
Our President is a friend I used to ride with in the above mentioned Military MC, and we've kept in contact and ridden together on numerous occasions since parting ways with the club.
There are chapters in the USA (New Jersey, Colorado, Oregon, Michigan and California) Australia, based in Perth, Western Australia (Aussie Crew), another in Bergen in Norway. (Gahr's neck of the woods) and a "Supporter" charter in Germany.
We are an old-school "Riding Club", although some of the charters are now MC's, and we come from all walks of life.
In Australia we don't wear a back patch or claim any territory. This policy generally keeps the outlaw MC's off our backs.
On a side note, I was riding home the other night I got a bee sting on my throat, hence the swelling under my jaw... Even 3 days later it still hurts!!!

Hey, Alex! I live in Bergen. Had to google the club, and found your picture on the Steel Crusaders Bergen FB pace. Cool!

EDIT: About 3 weeks ago, I was voted in as Vice President, as the incumbent decided to leave the club due to his wife being ill. So now I'm VP and also Sgt. at Arms! I promise I'll be back here on these pages a lot more... Just been busy trying to help get the club off the ground.

Good to hear from you bro!

Some very nice bikes in here! As far as the Harley's aren't reliable talk..:finger:

I have put 1000's of miles on my 3 Harley's & I have had NO issues. Hell the Sportster is the longest running model from any company for a reason. I love all kinds of motorcycles but I have wanted a Sportster since I was in High School (1986-89'). Finally bought 1 and now I am on my 3rd. I have pics of the others but Photobucket is absolutely ridiculous to use where the pics are. It took me an hour to get this pic!

My current ride:

yeah so what was wrong with it? Just for information purposes though. Those aren't made by Harley. They use a Harley motor though but built by Buell & were sold at the Harley dealerships. He now is on his own after Harley discontinued the partnership and just build the bike eSGe posted. They have been making that bike for years actually. Buell now charges over $30K for his new bikes.

As I said in post #22 ...

"Two camps, Harley people and those in the real world.
Haaa haaa. Now I've gone and lost a lot of potential friends."

Real world people and Harley people can't converse about motorcycles ... over & out! :-)

My dad had a 1942 Indian Chief that he bought while he was in the Coast Guard, I learned to ride on that bike, when I turned 16 and got my licence he sold it cause both my mom and dad didn't want me to kill myself riding. I was pissed and in later years was even more pissed cause the damn thing was worth about 40K. I eventually bought a beat up Triumph 650 Bonneville that I almost did get killed on (I hit a Raccoon.) Later I bought my first real real bike, a 1980 Harley Deluxe, bought my ex a Sportster too and lost both of them in my divorce 6 years ago, along with my house, my dog and half of our investments.....That was my 3rd ex-wife, I will never, never never get married again!! On a happy note, I did get custody of my two girls from the first ex, the second one died (I was only married to her for 8 months, turns out she was a crackhead and died from a overdose a few years later.)
And now the Deluxe!!
