The Best Piece of Musical Advice I've Ever Seen

This is a quote attributed to the vocal coach for the great Julie Andrews:

"Amateurs practice until they get it right. Professionals practice until they can't get it wrong."

I don't think this is suggesting that a professional can never make a mistake, but I think it's pointing out that a professional practices until the correct way is normative and instinctual and mistakes become more and more rare and superficial.

Either way, it's changed how I approach practicing and preparing for music.

Practice, practice ,practice ! All the best in anything put the time in. Now there is natural gifts(plz send me some lol) but practice is not work, its a love affair with your discipline to play to the best ability you can.
