Vapor Trails has some of my favorite post 80's Rush material.
Neil got in some great workouts drumming throughout the decades. Regarding retirement, I heard him say how if he played like Charlie Watts did, he likely could play till he was an old man too. I wish it had come to pass darnit.
In case anyone missed it or I forgot to tell anyone, I like Permanent Waves even better than Moving Pictures and I used to enjoy that segment of their live shows whenever they would play Waves songs in the 2000's concerts I attended.
Freaking check out Neils double bass, cymbal technique etc. I flat out get lost whenever I listen to this album.
Of course Tom Sawyer, Limelight , Red Barchetta, etc get all the airplay, concert time etc, but I always love the fringe songs.
Here is one of my all time favorite Rush songs. Just a great variety within one great song.
I could not help but throw this cut in since it revealed itself during my late night jammin,
Ever heard of Bill Bell? Guitar.
Apparently Alex Lifeson composed this one. LOL
