Well the original placements of the bands in the ladder, the seeding was a random as it gets, so I'm just continuing on with
the same ladder.

Sabbath took out the Doors, and Maiden didn't have enough steam to take out Floyd. I gave them repeated listening, a solid chance
and without going into specifics on why, my Floyd vote remained unchanged, but it might have been the selected pieces too,
I did not explore outward.

I was pleased to see it closer between Sabbath and the Doors than I though thought would be. Now in the draw it's The Who vs. AC/DC

I don't have any preconceived notions here, both bands able to make a very loud noise, but that's pretty much where the similarities end.

what say you fellas?

Well, since my band got brutalized not just in voting but in opinion? In the words of Alice Cooper: No More Mr Nice Guy lol

AC/DC and it ain't even close.

The Who are easily the weakest remaining band on this list especially within this time frame. You take a few exceptions like Won't Get Fooled Again, Long Live Rock or Baba O'Reilly and most of the rest doesn't hold up to the rest of time.

AC/DC on the other hand, especially in this timeline? Blew The Who away. You had high energy, straight-forward, fun and exciting rock n roll vs pop masquerading as rock most of the time and conceptual albums.

Judge a band fairly on how they perform live and you tell me who was better. Here's two performances from the exact same year

If you seriously think say that AC/DC didn't out perform and entertain? You're lying lol

This one is tuff. The Who was OG bad ass, much respect. A killer bass player, great drummer with a bad problem. Terrific singer with charisma. A talented guitar player that was song and rhythm oriented. Great songs, legacy up the wazzu. But a bit out of my “time” so to speak. So I was never a huge fan, but I still can listen to many great tunes by them, you better you better you bet.
On the other foot so to speak was one of the bands that was such a huge part of my musical coming of age. And as Angus answered a criticism of them
Angus Young famously retorted to critics about AC/DC's music sounding repetitive, stating, "I'm sick to death of people saying we've made 11 albums that sound exactly the same, in fact, we've made 12 albums that sound exactly the same."
And those records kicked ass. And they were there when it counted to me. AC/DC FTMFW!!

Never been much of an Agnes fan. Like with any generational match up, one would not have existed without the other. Like ZZ Top and Hendrix. If Gibbons had not have toured with Jimi with the Moving Siwalks, ZZ would not be. Same as with the Who. Many bands would never have come to be be without their influence.

Right but which one rocked the 70s better? I think it's understood that newer bands were influenced by old but where to stop?
Robert Johnson wins.

I think the Who rocked better in the 70s. It wasn’t until the 80s and Back in Black that AC/DC really broke out into mainstream popularity. After being turned onto the band and Brian Johnson that the fans went back to earlier releases and discovered Bon Scott.
