I just got a nice cut of homemade bacon from the local meat house, with much less salt than the ordinary processed stuff we find in supermarkets and smooth smoked. Man, this tastes like HEAVEN

Just out of curiosity, how do you guys prepare your eggs? Of course, I like the ordinary scrambled eggs and sunny side ups, but I also do some cuisine stuff...

One of my favorites:

I crack three eggs into a bowl, add some cream or whole milk, salt and black pepper ad libitum and mix it all. I heat some butter or olive oil (butter in the mornings, oil in the evenings) and scramble it (I don't make an omelette of it).

I remeber this one

Chokes me up... When I was a kid my grandma and I would walk several blocks to the Woolworths Five and Dime on Wood Ave, Linden NJ.
We would sit at the lunch counter and their plain old grilled cheese was really good.
Or at least that how I remember an overall good memory.

This is our favorite local diner, good reputation for at least a 30 mile radius (well you can only go about 5 miles east into the Atlantic)
My favorite is the Rueben. Pastrami, not corned beef. With great coleslaw, dill pickle and steak fries.
Great omletes too. Large portions reasonably priced.

When I am at the stove, over easy is the egg of choice. Pepper, little shake salt, minced onion, garlic powder.
Dont break the yolks! - whites are firm and the yolk just beginning to thicken.
I will use Pam type spray, but if there is bacon grease, just enough to coat the pan.

Best reason for bread to exist - rye , wheat, etc. no white bread - is to be toasted to sop up that yolk with.

1/2 dozen jumbo eggs shaken up in a plastic container. Cooked in a pan with a glass cover until it puffs up, presses against the glass, and looks like your cooking someones brains. Then, flip it over (insuring it has browned nicely). Then, cover it with bunch of cheese, put the lid on until the cheese melts. While the cheese is melting pop some bread in the toaster. Serves two people here.

Was going to mention Woolworth's too.
45 cents got you a burger & fries, served by a genuine waitress, usually young, and as i recall, rather nice looking
