Rare Earth was THE First band I ever saw LIVE! I was 13 years old. My Mom took me to see a show and they were the opening band.
The other two groups at that show were Uriah Heep and The Edgar Winter Group with both Johnny and Edgar AND featuring Rick Derringer.
They were touring for the album with Frankenstein and Rock and Roll Hoochie Coo if I recall correctly! WHAT A NIGHT!
