There are things I love about the desert. I lived in Hesperia for 2 years when I first moved to SoCal....
Being the urban animal I am the desert just wouldn't work. All night diners and private schools, private clubs and private times are a must. The sand, hot and complete lack of Coke machines is no place for a person with sleep problems and an unlocked door at the top of my back steps.
