According to AI for 2024 this was the answer. For 2025 i will go with the same as 2024

In 2024, the Fender Player Telecaster and Fender American Professional II Stratocaster were among the most popular guitars used on stage. These models topped the best-selling lists on Reverb, an online gear marketplace, indicating their widespread use by musicians.

Not sure how it can extrapolate "used on stage" from sales figures. And when those figures were published by Reverb the article came with this disclaimer (quoted from Guitar World when noting that the PRS Silver Sky had been dethroned after taking top spot in the two previous years):

"As Reverb notes, though, that [ranking] may have been slightly skewed by the fact that the two guitars that came above it were the Fender Player Telecaster (ranked at no. 1) and the Fender American Professional II Stratocaster (no. 2) – two models that received generous discounts over the year, making them even more accessible to players"

Nonetheless, they are killer guitars and I bet you are right about this year as I think Fender will continue to be pretty aggressive with the pricing. I got a steep factory discount on the two Teles I recently bought.

This thing followed me home over the weekend...

American Professional II, Miami Blue. Went into GC, couldn't leave without it. Great Strat, easily the playability and tone equal to the last two Custom Shop Strats that I had. Neck is chunkier than the two AmPro Teles I have, which is nice. Convinced myself I needed it because I don't have any other guitars with a wiggle stick.

Husband: "Hey Hon, look who followed me home today."
Wife: "Isn't that sweet. You can sleep with her tonight in the guest bedroom."

Haha, luckily I have a wife that actually encourages me to buy the things I want. We ain't getting any younger, and I don't bitch about the handbags and shoes. She actually told me yesterday to "just buy" the JCM-800 I have been thinking about.

We have generally never complained about what the other has purchased. Might mention timing wasn’t so hot finance wise…. But that’d be it. Spent too many years of our going on 47 years married with no money to not be frugal. We have some disposable income now and we still feel uncomfortable spending it. Which is stupid since we aren’t getting any younger either.

We haven't been married as long (29 years) but we are at a point where we are thankfully comfortable enough to just buy the stuff we want. Neither of us goes crazy but my wife supports my hobby (it's really just that at this point, have not played a gig in over a decade now).

Interestingly, I mentioned a while back since we have some cash to spend I should probably get a LP…. And she was kinda like “you should.” Here’s the thing. I don’t need to. Got most the bases covered. Two single coils and two HBs. Strat, Tele, G400 and the Viking which is a semi hollow. They each have their own voice. I’m happy with them. Frankly, if I wanted to drop a couple grand on a guitar I think it’d be a good acoustic 12 string. Started to check them out. Martin. Guild. Taylor. And then I talk myself out of it.

I don’t do the GAS thing very good do I ??

Gotta have a Les Paul man. Nothing sounds like a Les Paul, not even other single-cuts.

I’ve got to echo this one. I do love my SGs, but a Les Paul is unique in sound. Some things come close, but…
